  1. Susanne Andrews says:

I knew his character from playing frisbee with him. The Cupertino game is barely co-ed, often I was the only woman, or one of the very few. I often would choose to cover Janne, even though he was a much stronger player than I. I knew I could trust him to play safely, not hurt me, but still play honestly, not give me too much of a break.

You are right, he was kind, generous, and never held back his enthusiasm. He brightened my days, and I will miss him.

Well, I just wanted to share some memories, to let you know that Janne’s influence was widespread and lives on. Even for me, who didn’t even know his last name, he has made an impact on my view of life. I will think of him in my journey to live honestly, always fully expressing my love and joy for life.

  2. Melinda Applegate says:

Janne is a dear dear part of me … precious. I’m so sorry for your loss, and… all of our loss.

  5. Joyce says:

Dear Allison: With all my love and all my prayers to you in this time of deep sorrow. I care very deeply.
    As always, Joyce

  6. Clarkie says:

We honor Janne as an outstanding skateboarder and has put him up in our Valhalla Team as a reminder of the good stuff; memories. Until we know what’s up with death we will continue to honor and cherish the memories of those we love, admire, and respect. If there is an “other side,” the skateboard community believes in it. Until then, we will remember our pals and they will remain whole, alive, and here— imbedded in our hearts and with us forever.

    “Poesi :-)

“Så många minnen. Hans grott stora BC bräda som han var tvungen att stripa om till Hobie med dubbla lippar är legendarisk. kommer ihåg när jag lånade den en gång, jag kunde knappt vända på fanskapet, det var en riktig tungviktare.”

“han va på gul och blå i örebro där dom ställt en ramp i butiken men lagt matta i så det inte skulle låta, vart inte så vart lite tungåkt..”
