The Cupertino game is barely co-ed, often I was the only woman, or one of the very few. I often would choose to cover Janne, even though he was a much stronger player than I. I knew I could trust him to play safely, not hurt me, but still play honestly, not give me too much of a break. You are right, he was kind, generous, and never held back his enthusiasm. He brightened my days, and I will miss him. Well, I just wanted to share some memories, to let you know that Janne's influence was widespread and lives on. Even for me, who didn't even know his last name, he has made an impact on my view of life. I will think of him in my journey to live honestly, always fully expressing my love and joy for life.
